Cloud Video Platform (CVP)
Learn about CVP, what it’s used for and how to connect if you’ve been asked to use it for a court hearing
What Is The Cloud Video Platform (CVP)?
The Cloud Video Platform (CVP) is a video communication system that connects users securely to the justice network. It is designed to be straightforward, simple and secure for connections between prisons and courtrooms.
When Is CVP Used?
The CVP is already integrated in the UK justice video network and it falls upon the decision of the magistrate, judge or panel as to whether it is utilised for particular cases. Once the decision has been made however, there is an easy-to-follow instruction guide on how to connect.
How To Join A Cloud Video Platform Hearing?
To join your CVP hearing, there a few steps to get you connected.
- We recommend connecting through an internet browser such as: Chrome, Safari. Firefox, Microsoft Edge.
- Remember to test your camera, speakers and that your microphone is working correctly.
- If unable to use an internet browser, you can connect through Microsoft Teams or Skype.
- If you need assistance, or would feel comfortable with a dedicated technician, try our concierge service.
Concierge for CVP
In some circumstances, users may not feel comfortable setting up or connecting to the CVP on their own. In this case, Eyenetwork offer a concierge service where we will connect you to the CVP securely and ensure you’re happy. This is a great service for those who may be less tech-savvy or simply require reassurance they have successfully connected.
If you are planning on connecting to the CVP, we strongly advise you to test your audio and video prior to the date and time of your hearing. Doing this will not only provide you with peace of mind but also ensure any connectivity or audio/video issues are fixed in advance.
