So last week on Election Day we fought our way through the TV crews outside the Houses of Parliament to get to the Modernizing Justice Event at the QE2 Centre. This conference discusses in a number of keynote speeches and also panel discussions the opportunities and challenges of delivering a digital justice system. It also gives us the opportunity to showcase our cloud based and hosted Virtual Court Room services.

So we set up our stand nice and early, just as the best bacon rolls in London were being served. This was our third successive year of attending so we knew the catering would be good and we would need it as it is always a very busy day.

The day was filled with interesting presentations, starting from an interesting insight into polling and statistics, then the Chair’s Opening address started the day off, followed by discussions such as Digital excellence, and integrated justice and then ending the day with a presentation from Serco which also mentioned our joint service for hosting VC links from the prison vans.

The breaks were very busy times with lots of good conversations and interest in our services and approach to the hosting of videoconferencing for virtual court rooms and remote participants. After nearly 20 years serving this area, Eyenetwork is very well known and it seems that most people use our services or have done in the past. So we were able to update them on our service developments with the MOJ, NOMS, CPS and Police providing innovative services, such as virtual waiting rooms, crime report from IPads, and mobile witness links using the 4G mobile network.

All in all a very productive day of meeting old faces and new, and discussing how our Virtual Court Room services, technology and innovation are helping modernize justice. If you would like more information please contact me directly or visit
