TechNavio’s latest report on the global telepresence market has predicted it will grow by 25 per cent over the next two years, Reportsnreports.com revealed.
Analysing the future of the industry, TechNavio found that the many benefits of telepresence mean that it will become more popular than ever by the year 2014.
Cited by Sbwire.com, a spokesperson for the TechNavio team explained what some of these benefits are. They stated: “Telepresence allows enterprises to conduct virtual meetings with participants by making them feel that they are in the same room. Telepresence also allows enterprises to conduct both internal and external communications.
“Such meetings help companies achieve higher client satisfaction and faster decision making between main offices and offices located in remote areas.”
TechNavio also cited the high quality of audio and video used by telepresence providers; which is usually presented in high definition (HD).
However the report also looked into the potential obstacles facing suppliers of telepresence services, such as the potential “interoperability issues” that accompany the technology. According to TechNavio, this could prove to be a challenge when it comes to growing the industry to its fullest potential.
Despite this, it seems the sector is set to go from strength-to-strength in the coming months; especially within the EMEA, Americas and APAC areas.
